So just a thought I had today… I get the feeling when we look back on music from this era in 20 years the R&B Vocoder effect will date the music to this time period. Such as 80s hair metal does for… well the 80s (I love 80s music so freakin much by the way). T-Pain is the only one that can pull it off and make it sound not so vocoder-ish. Of course on the other hand I don’t listen to that much R&B music… just a feeling. In spite of this post here is the Snoop Dogg video for Sensual Seduction. Kudos to this video for the 70s porno look and having Snoop Dogg play the keytar.

So if you keep updated with Side by Side’s website (www.sidebysidemusic.net) then you know that we wrapped recording for our debut last night! It feel amazing and unbelievable at the same time. This record has been a year in the making and now all that’s left is mixing. Gary and Brad came by last night to do their parts. Brad is on two songs and Gary is on six. They both did outstanding jobs. And when I say outstanding I mean that, they both are amazing vocalists and are just so in tune with the songs we gave them. It’s great to really meet musicians that can dive into a batch of songs like Allison, Gary, and Brad did. Later in the night the girls from Volatile Baby stopped by to listen to some of the material. I love those women so much, they’re a load of fun no matter what time it is. Allison ended up staying for the whole rest of the session and actually ended up lying down a few new stacks around 1am! What a pro! It was amazing for Mike and I to sit in a circle with Allison and Gary to work out harmony parts for songs that we built from the ground up a year ago. We cannot express to you how truly excited we are about these eleven songs that we are going to mix for our debut. Our hearts are in each note and we hope that it will show through once each and every one of you picks up a copy. We are truly honored and lucky to not only have such talented people work on our songs but to also call them our friends. Take care and check the site for updates!

I don’t know if this is an official video or not but man is it hot. And the song is unreal… I really hope CRS decides to release a full album sometime this year. If all the songs were half as dope as this song it would be an excellent record. Enjoy!
